Christian Action Ministries
In 1984, Branson area churches and community leaders formed Christian Action Ministries, also known as CAM, to serve as the local food outreach and pantry. Since that time, CAM’s ministry has continued to tackle the issue of food insecurity in Taney County. Between its Branson Pantry, Forsyth Pantry, and mobile distribution in eastern Taney County, more than 45,000 people experiencing temporary crisis received the gift of four days’ worth of food last year.
Our Mission:
To provide caring assistance, in Christ’s name, to people experiencing temporary crisis.
Our Vision:
To help people obtain the basic resource of food; to encourage self-sufficiency and independence; and bring together the caring communities—religious, business, and individuals—for meeting these needs.

What is the Cooperative Program?
The Cooperative Program is Southern Baptists' unified plan of giving through which cooperating Southern Baptist churches give a percentage of their undesignated receipts in support of their respective state convention and the Southern Baptist Conventions missions and ministries.
It begins with you!
You give yourself first to God (II Cor. 8:5). Next, out of gratitude and obedience to God for what He has done for you, you commit to give back to Him, through your church, a portion of what He provides. This is commonly called a tithe and represents ten percent of your income (Lev. 27:30, Mal. 3:10).
Your Church... decides the next step. Every year your church prayerfully decides how much of its undesignated gifts will be committed to reaching people in your state and around the world through The Cooperative Program. This amount is then forwarded to your State Baptist Convention.

ABOUT VOM
The Voice of the Martyrs is a nonprofit, interdenominational Christian missions organization dedicated to serving our persecuted family worldwide through practical and spiritual assistance and leading other members of the body of Christ into fellowship with them. VOM was founded in 1967 by Pastor Richard Wurmbrand, who was imprisoned for 14 years in Communist Romania, for his faith in Christ; his wife, Sabrina, was imprisoned for three years. In 1965 they were ransomed out of Romania, and soon thereafter they established the global network of missions of which VOM is part. The Wurmbrands based these missions on Hebrews 13:3, which instructs us to "Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body."
The Voice of the Martyrs continues this mission around the world today through the following purposes:
- To encourage and empower Christians to fulfill the Great Commission in areas of the world where they are persecuted for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- To provide practical relief and spiritual support to the families of Christian martyrs.
- To equip persecuted Christians to love and win to Christ those who are opposed to the gospel in their part of the world.
- To undertake projects of encouragement, helping believers rebuild their lives and Christian witness in countries where they have formerly suffered oppression.
- To promote the fellowship of all believers by informing the world of the faith and courage of persecuted Christians, thereby inspiring believers to a deeper level of commitment to Christ and involvement in His Great Commission.

In the summer of 2007, Dr. Rod Butterworth, our founder, visited an evolutionary museum in Branson Missouri. After a fateful but eye-opening experience to the teachings of our 21st century culture, he prayed for an opportunity to shed light on the Bible's perspective of creation. Over much meditation and prayer the Lord laid on his heart a vision for Branson Missouri. A state-of-the-art biblical creation museum visited by millions of people a year. Rod shared this vision with his friends only to be greeted with much support. That year the Creation Experience Museum was opened in Strafford Missouri, running strictly off donations from its visitors.
